Anja Hemmes

Anja Hemmes is a dedicated financial consultant and coordinator specializing in debt prevention, currently serving at Rijnstad since April 2020. Hemmes provides assistance to inhabitants of Arnhem with financial inquiries and has previously worked as an outreach worker addressing early signs of payment issues. With extensive experience as a senior financial counselor at Stichting De Tussenvoorziening from 2012 to 2020, Hemmes conducted intake sessions, home visits, and developed comprehensive financial plans for clients. In addition to volunteer work at Stichting SurAnt, supporting inmates with reintegration and financial matters, and a brief role in addiction care at Stichting de Stem, Hemmes holds a Bachelor of Laws from Hanzehogeschool Groningen.
