Rimorchiatori Mediterranei
Since 1922 Rimorchiatori Riuniti have been operating tugboats, those small powerfull orange vessels constantly steering through the waters of thecommercial harbour of Genoa, including new oil and containers terminals. Essential to the harbour's activity, the tugboats not only put in and moor the arriving ships and escort them out to the open sea, no matter what weather conditions are, but also they watch over the harbour, assisting in case of fire, oil spilling and whatever occurence might endanger the safety of ships. From Genoa Rimorchiatori Riuniti have spread their fleet to other Italian and International ports. Today, Rimorchiatori Riuniti Group operates a wide range of Maritime Services Operations, from harbour towage to off port towage services, Marine ecology operations, Ocean going vessels (container, chemical) and technical fleet management. On occasion of the Annual Lloyd’s List Italian Shipping Award, Rimorchiatori Riuniti has been awarded as the best Maritime Services Operator in Italy. Since 2023 it is 100% owned by MSC Group.
