Chris Waskowich

Staff Engineer at Rimstorm

Chris Waskowich has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Chris started their career in 1997 as an Acoustical Engineer at Electric Boat Corporation, where they performed acoustic calculations and analysis to develop component acoustic criteria for Navy contracts. In 1998, they joined Ampcast.com, Inc. as the Owner and CTO, responsible for managing and executing the technical infrastructure and making management decisions. Chris remained with Ampcast.com until 2005. In 2002, Chris became the Chief Information Officer at V2 Systems, Inc. with a focus on overseeing information technology functions. Most recently, in 2019, they joined Rimstorm Inc. as a Staff Engineer, where they contribute to addressing information technology security challenges alongside subject matter experts in the field.

Chris Waskowich has a diverse education history. Chris obtained a Master's degree in Technology Management from George Mason University - School of Business between 2008 and 2010. During the same period, they also completed a CIO Certificate in Federal Executive Competencies with a focus on Information Systems Management from the Federal CIO University.

Prior to their postgraduate studies, Chris earned a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science from The University of Connecticut, which they completed between 1991 and 1997.

In addition to their academic achievements, Chris has also obtained several certifications. Chris achieved the AWS Certified Developer - Associate (DVA) certification from Amazon Web Services in September 2017. Chris also holds the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (SAA) certification, which they attained in May 2015. Lastly, Chris obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional (SAP) certification in August 2017.
