Afshin Mombeinipour

Afshin Mombeinipour, M.Sc., is a seasoned marine professional with extensive experience in shipbuilding and marine engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Marine Surveyor and Lead Auditor at RINA since August 2022, Afshin oversees the safety and quality of ships and yachts while implementing initiatives aimed at achieving decarbonization goals. Previous roles include managing the Boat Acquisition Program at BayFirst Solutions LLC and leading AEP retrofit projects at Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., where significant savings and efficiencies were achieved in cruise ship retrofitting. Afshin has also held senior positions at Bureau Veritas Group and DNV GL, focusing on machinery systems and clean energy sources. With a Master’s degree in Shipbuilding Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, Afshin possesses a robust technical background complemented by a track record of successful project management and engineering excellence across various sectors in the marine industry.
