Phillip Bender is a seasoned attorney currently serving as Partner and Managing Partner at Ring Bender LLP since 2012, specializing in environmental litigation, regulatory affairs, and commercial transactions for a diverse clientele. Bender has also been Outside Counsel for Riverlife since 2011, acting as General Counsel to support efforts in reclaiming and promoting Pittsburgh's riverfronts. In addition, Bender serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors for Bike Pittsburgh, advocating for enhanced bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure within the community. Prior experience includes practicing as an attorney at Bateman Seidel LLC and K&L Gates, as well as serving as Assistant Attorney General for the Oregon Department of Justice. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Law (J.D.) with a Certificate in Environmental Law from Lewis & Clark Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Reed College.
