Venkat Venkataraman

Venkat Venkataraman has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Venkat currently works as the VP of Engineering - Video at RingCentral, leading a team of over 500 people across various locations. Prior to this, they served as the VP of Engineering at Hopin and as the Senior Director of Engineering at Nielsen, where they oversaw data engineering for the Video Platform. Venkat also held positions as the VP of Engineering at LiftIgniter and the Head of Core Engineering at Vonage (previously Tokbox), where they were responsible for software development, infrastructure, and architecture. Venkataraman has also worked at CA, Inc. as a Global Technical Lead and Principal Software Engineer, and at BEA Systems and IBM as a Software Engineer. Additionally, they have served as a member of the advisory board for the SFSU Big Data Certificate Program and as an official member of the Forbes Technology Council.

Venkat Venkataraman obtained a Master's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from The University of Texas at Dallas, where they studied from 2000 to 2002.
