Mel Lee has a diverse work experience in the field of information technology and cybersecurity. They have served as the Chief Information Officer/Executive Vice President at Rio Grande Credit Union since October 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Faculty member in Cyber Security & Information Technologies at Forbes School of Business & Technology from February 2022 to October 2022. From April 2020 to February 2022, they were the Chief Technology & Cyber Security Officer at SCRRA Metrolink. Before that, they held the position of Chief Information Officer & Information Security Officer at PUBLIC SAFETY, NEW MEXICO DEPARTMENT OF from March 2016 to January 2020. Additionally, they have experience as an Account Executive at Technology Integration Group from March 2015 to March 2016, and as the Director of IT Edge at ALBUQUERQUE PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT from 2001 to 2015.
Mel Lee completed a Master of Business Administration - MBA degree in Computer/Information Technology Administration and Management from the University of Phoenix from 1992 to 1996.

Rio Grande Credit Union was started by City of Albuquerque employees in 1953. Since that time, we have merged with San Ignacio Credit Union and the Albuquerque VA Federal Credit Union and New Mexico Central Credit Union. In addition to these fine organizations, we also serve employees, volunteers, residents and members of numerous companies, nonprofit organizations and neighborhood associations.
