Alina Shapovalova

Alina Shapovalova is an experienced engineer with a strong background in project delivery and management within the mining sector. Currently serving as Projects Delivery Superintendent at Rio Tinto since November 2021, Alina previously held the position of Lead Project Engineer at BHP from March 2020 to November 2021 and worked as a Project Engineer at Newmont Corporation between June 2018 and March 2020. Alina's expertise spans across various roles in different companies, including KIN Mining NL, Como Engineers Pty. Ltd., and Manas Resources Limited, focusing on managing projects, contractor deliverables, and technical reviews for gold mining operations. Alina holds a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Curtin University and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Kyrgyz Russian Slavic University, along with additional studies in mining and mineral processing.
