Andy Bravence has extensive experience in the mining industry, currently serving as Superintendent Underground Construction at Rio Tinto since April 2017. Previously, Andy held the position of Mine Superintendent at Resolution Copper since March 2007 and worked as a Miner at Newmont Gold from July 2006 to 2007. Andy's career began in 1980, with roles including Drift Miner and Raise Miner at various companies such as Tres Amigos Mining Company and Magma Copper Company. Additional experience includes serving as Mine Foreman at Pasminco Zinc and BHP Billiton, along with significant roles at Performance Insulation and TVX Mineral Hill. Andy holds degrees in Animal Science and Mining Engineering from the University of Arizona and completed high school at Arcadia High School.
