Benoît Laplante

Benoît Laplante has extensive experience in procurement management, currently serving as the Senior Procurement Manager for Goods and Services at Rio Tinto since December 2014, overseeing the regional procurement team for North America. Benoît has held various roles at Rio Tinto, including Procurement Manager for RTFT & RTBL and a focus on inclusion and diversity initiatives. Prior experience includes leadership positions in market development and sales, as well as process improvement in procurement. Benoît has also contributed to television as a Space Program Specialist since 2002, covering over 30 space missions. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Stanford University and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas.
