David Blamires

David Blamires is an experienced mining professional currently serving as Mining Team Lead at Rio Tinto since December 2020, where responsibilities include managing the Jadar mining team and preparing critical permit documentation. Previously, David held key roles at Acacia Mining plc, including Manager of Long Term Planning, where oversight of cut-off grades and life of mine planning was provided, and Section Leader, wherein a significant improvement in reserves process was achieved. David's earlier experience includes Senior Underground Engineer and Senior Planning Engineer positions at Barrick Gold Corporation, as well as a Marketing Support Specialist role at Liebherr. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from the University of Utah.
