Ferrin Prince

Ferrin Prince, PE, is a seasoned mining engineer with extensive experience in underground operations and technical services. Currently serving as Manager Underground Technical at Rio Tinto since May 2022, Ferrin leads a team focused on supporting the Kennecott Underground's growth and operational execution. Previously, Ferrin held roles at Oyu Tolgoi LLC as Competent Person Underground Reserves and Principal Engineer Design & Caving, managing studies to enhance ore body knowledge and mine stability. Additional experience includes senior mining engineering at Resolution Copper Company, mine planning at New Gold, and various engineering roles in consulting and project management. Ferrin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Utah.
