Harish Kumar, P.Geo, is an experienced geophysicist with a strong background in mineral exploration and geophysical survey optimization. Currently serving as Principal Geophysicist at Rio Tinto since May 2011, Harish Kumar has focused on exploring copper and lithium in the Americas, conducting 3D inversions of DCIP and MT data, and integrating geophysical data with geological insights to enhance drilling success. Previous roles include significant contributions to the exploration of various minerals such as nickel, uranium, and diamonds, as well as managing a data processing team at Geotech Ltd. Harish Kumar has also worked on groundwater development projects in Botswana and has educational credentials from the Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee, with a Master’s degree in Applied Geophysics.
