James Norman

James Norman possesses extensive experience in the mining sector, currently serving as the Manager of Closure for Argyle Diamonds at Rio Tinto since January 2010. James has held various roles, including Superintendent of Control and Integrated Operations, Senior Advisor of Strategy, and Superintendent of Business and Site Services across multiple locations. Notable achievements include leading an operational performance improvement consultation for Project Benga and fostering cultural shifts in train load out process safety. Prior to Rio Tinto, James worked as a Business Development Manager with Programmed Group, managing relationships across multiple mine sites during the 2008 financial crisis. Academically, James holds a Bachelor of Business Administration focused on Economics and International Business from the University of Canberra and a Graduate Diploma in Mining and Mineral Engineering from Federation University Australia.
