Jay Barker is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in consulting and human resources. Barker began a career at the NHS as an Analyst and progressed to Ernst & Young, serving in various roles including Senior Consultant and Manager from 2010 to 2014. Following this, Barker held multiple key positions at Rio Tinto from 2018 to 2021, including HR RTIO Strategy & Performance, People Partner Chief Executive Australia, Business Executive to the RTIO HR VP, and involvement in Future People Transformation initiatives. Currently, Barker is a Council Member at St. Hilda’s Anglican School for Girls since November 2025. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Science/Arts from The University of Western Australia and an MSc in Public Health from the University of London.
