Liam Dowling

Liam Dowling is an experienced professional in the field of mechanical engineering, with a strong background in asset management and reliability engineering. Currently serving as a Principal Advisor - Asset Management at Rio Tinto since July 2021, Liam previously held the position of Superintendent Reliability at Fortescue Metals Group from July 2019 to July 2021. Liam's career at Rio Tinto began as a Mechanical Engineer, progressing to Senior Maintenance Engineer from January 2014 to July 2019, focusing on mobile equipment reliability. Earlier experience includes working as a Mechanical Trade Assistant at Consolidated Diesels from January 2009 to December 2013. Liam holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Western Australia, completed from 2009 to 2012, and attended Trinity College Perth from 2004 to 2008.
