Martin Monsalve

Martin Monsalve is an experienced health and safety professional with a career that spans over two decades. Currently serving as Health Safety Environment Coordinator at Rio Tinto since April 2022, Martin previously held roles at Applied Geotech as Safety Officer and Special Inspector, where responsibilities included coordinating safety meetings and developing safety induction programs. In earlier positions, Martin worked at Ausenco as HSEC Manager overseeing the HSE Management System for the Constancia Mine project, as well as at Barrick Gold Corporation as Senior Safety Training Supervisor, focusing on training and risk assessment processes. Martin's experience also includes serving as Senior Safety Representative at Hunt Oil Company, managing safety for major construction projects, and starting a career at Rio Tinto in various capacities since 1997.
