Matias Fernandez

Matias Fernandez is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in finance strategy and improvement roles. Currently serving as Portfolio Manager at Rio Tinto since August 2019, Matias previously held the position of Senior Program Manager in the same company. Prior to this, Matias worked at KPMG Australia from September 2016 to June 2019 as Associate Director, focusing on sourcing strategies and implementation. Matias has also held various positions at Rio Tinto, including QA Lead and Transition Manager and Transition Specialist, as well as gained experience as a Credit Risk Analyst at Banco Galicia and a Financial Revenue Analyst at IBM. Matias holds a Certified Practising Accountant designation from CPA Australia and degrees in Financial Management and Business Economics from respected institutions.
