Paula Uribe

Paula Uribe is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in external affairs and regulatory affairs across various sectors. Currently serving as the Director of External Affairs for Latin America at Rio Tinto since January 2023, Paula previously held significant roles at PepsiCo, including Director and Senior Manager, and served as Vice Chair of the Consumer Policy Group at the Business Industry Advisory Council to the OECD. Additional leadership positions include Co-Chair of the Tax Group at ALAIAB and Director of Regulatory and Institutional Affairs at Coca-Cola FEMSA. Prior experience includes strategic consulting at Covington & Burling LLP and a Senior Advisor role at the U.S. Department of State, where Paula contributed to high-priority strategies for the Western Hemisphere. Paula’s academic background includes degrees from Georgetown University and Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, highlighting a commitment to bridging industry and policy in diverse contexts.
