Thabo Miya

Thabo Miya is an experienced professional in the electrical and electronic engineering field, currently serving as Analyst II - Maintenance Operations at Rio Tinto since July 2020. Prior experience includes a long tenure at Eskom Holdings SOC Ltd, where roles ranged from Senior Supervisor Tech to Maintenance and Commissioning Technician, ensuring the delivery of maintenance and commissioning operations. Previous positions at Telkom and Aberdare Cables involved performing maintenance and installation activities on electrical equipment. Thabo holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Tshwane University of Technology, a National N Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Richtek Tvet College, and a National Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Vaal University of Technology. Currently pursuing a Level 3 Award in the Requirements for Electrical Installations BS 7671:2018 - 2382-22 from City & Guilds.
