Venkat Krishnan

Venkat Krishnan is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in signaling and project leadership within the rail industry. Currently serving as a Project Lead at Rio Tinto since June 2022, Venkat has previously held positions including Senior Engineer-Project at Downer EDI Engineering Group Pty Limited and Senior Design Engineer at Rio Tinto. With additional experience as a Signalling Engineer at JMD Railtech and a Signalling Design Engineer at Invensys Rail, Venkat has contributed to various projects including the design of control tables, wiring diagrams, and vital interlocking logic. Venkat began the engineering career as an Assistant Signalling Engineer at Ansaldo STS, focusing on application logic design and station commissioning. Educationally, Venkat holds a Diploma in Electronics & Communication from Sankar Polytechnic College.
