Wayne Scully

Wayne Scully is an experienced mining engineer with a diverse background in operations planning and production engineering. Currently serving as the Operations Planning Superintendent at Rio Tinto since September 2019, Wayne leads a team of 100 drill and blast crew members and manages a budget of approximately $100 million. Previous roles include Senior Production Engineer and Mining Engineer positions at Fortescue Metals Group, where responsibilities included producing short-term mine plans, maintaining scheduling models, and providing production guidance. Earlier experience includes a Mining Engineer role at Mineral Resources Limited and various engineering positions at Downer, starting as a Graduate Mining Engineer. Wayne holds a Bachelor of Engineering and a Bachelor of Commerce from The University of Western Australia.
