Marie L. Alvarez currently serves as the Group Chief Executive Officer at Acadia Healthcare since March 2022 and as the Chief Executive Officer of Rio Vista Behavioral Health Hospital since May 2020. Prior experience includes roles at UHS from July 2015 to May 2020, where Marie held positions as Senior Divisional Director of Admissions Services and Divisional Director of Admissions for Behavioral Health. Additionally, Marie worked at PEAK Behavioral Health Services, LLC from May 2005 to June 2015 as Director of Admissions and Utilization Review. Marie holds a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy/Counseling from the University of Phoenix.

Rio Vista Behavioral Health provides state-of-the-art inpatient psychiatric and substance abuse services in the El Paso, Texas, area. We offer individualized planning and ongoing recovery support for adults age 18 and older and children ages 11-17. Our team is adept at serving high-acuity patients who may be struggling with symptoms of serious mental health concerns, such as trauma, mood disorders, anxiety, and psychosis. We’re also pleased to provide support for individuals in need of professional care for chemical dependency as a secondary concern.
