Vikrant Shah

Vikrant Shah is a highly experienced engineering professional specializing in robotics and software systems. Currently serving as Principal Software Engineer in Robotics at RIOS Intelligent Machines since January 2025, Vikrant previously held roles at Dapster AI and Waymo, where significant contributions included leading system architecture redesigns and enhancing positioning algorithms. Vikrant’s extensive background also encompasses research at Northeastern University, where innovative solutions for multibeam sonar mapping of icebergs were developed, as well as roles in subsea operations and technology development at BP. Academic credentials include a PhD in Robotics from Northeastern University and a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
