Amer Qobti

Amer Qobti is an accomplished professional in the field of translation and localization, currently serving as a Video Game Localization Specialist at Riot Games since October 2022. Concurrently, Amer holds multiple roles including Community Manager at Acclaro and Arabic Language Lead at BOLD, along with positions as a Translator for Global Wordsmiths, Amazon, and Compass Languages. In addition to practical experience, Amer contributes to academia as a University Lecturer at King Khalid University since May 2020. Educationally, Amer is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Translation Studies at Kent State University, building on a Master's degree in Language Interpretation and Translation and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from King Khalid University. Prior academic experience includes a Graduate Student role at Kent State University and a Teaching Assistant position at King Khalid University.
