Michael Bailey is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in game development and player platform engineering. Currently a Staff Software Engineer at Riot Games since April 2017, Michael has significantly contributed to account signup and login systems used by over 100 million players across popular titles like League of Legends and VALORANT. Previous roles at Riot Games included Senior Software Engineer for both the Player Platform and Japan Publishing, where important frameworks and enhancements for regional events and esports broadcast operations were developed, leading to substantial increases in viewership. Prior experience at DeNA involved the successful development of mobile games with over 35 million downloads, and earlier roles included research at Princeton University and internships focused on natural language processing at Rosetta Stone.
