Principal VFX Artist at Riot Games

Richard Chu is an accomplished VFX artist with extensive experience in the video game and animation industries. Currently serving as Principal VFX Artist at Riot Games since January 2014, Richard has held various roles including Senior VFX Artist and Technical VFX Artist. Prior to Riot Games, contributions were made as a Technical Artist at Blizzard Entertainment from October 2008 to December 2013, and earlier as a Technical Director at Rainmaker Animation. Richard also gained experience as a Maya Product Specialist at Alias, where work included roles focused on support for Maya MEL & API. Initial career development included a position as Software Test Team Lead at IBM Canada. Educational background includes a degree from the University of Toronto and further studies at the International Academy of Design & Technology.
