Wesley Kerr

Wesley Kerr is an accomplished data scientist and research director currently serving as the Director of Research at Riot Games since May 2022, where there is a focus on building tech research capabilities and leading AI innovations. Previously, as the Senior Principal Data Scientist, Wesley established and managed an AI innovation center, developing distributed deep reinforcement learning applications for various games. Wesley's extensive background includes roles at Google as a Senior Software Engineer, and at Riot Games earlier in roles such as Lead Data Scientist. Additional experience encompasses positions as a Machine Learning Scientist at Adknowledge, an Assistant Professor at the University of Wisconsin-Stout, and Project Manager for a DARPA project at the University of Arizona. Wesley holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Arizona and has degrees in Computer Science from the University of Southern California and Kansas State University.
