Daniel Ayala

Daniel Ayala serves as the Chief Security and Trust Officer at Dotmatics since March 2022 and has held various leadership roles in information security and privacy across multiple organizations, including Ripple Science and Lumen Worldwide Endeavors. Ayala is the founder of MentorCore, a community dedicated to mentoring and career growth in security and compliance fields, and hosts a bi-weekly podcast, The Great Security Debate, aimed at educating non-security listeners on various security topics. Previous positions include Chief Information Security Officer at LabArchives, LLC and ProQuest, and Interim Chief Information Security Officer at Michigan State University, where responsibilities encompassed comprehensive security program management and building collaborative relationships across departments. Ayala's career in security began at Abbott as Director of Global Identity & Access Administration, following a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
