Venu Goteti

Venu Goteti is the current Chief Technical Officer at Ripple Street. Venu has over 12 years of experience in technology, specializing in product development and management.

Goteti began their career at Operative in January of 2008, starting out as a Senior Vice President of Research & Development. In this role, they were responsible for global SaaS product development teams based out of New York City, Israel, India, and Europe. Venu was also responsible for products with combined revenue of over $75 million, with P&L responsibilities of $22 million.

During their time at Operative, Goteti created products that grew from $4 million to over $50 million in revenue. Venu also defined, stacked ranked, partnered, and accelerated the product roadmap for 4 product lines. In addition, they scaled and led geo-diversified Agile teams of 400+ employees, formed and led the Core architecture group, and outlined the Product Architecture roadmap to enable innovation. Overall, they improved productivity by 40% and ensured adoption and adherence of DevOps, CI/CD, Code Quality, TDD, Real-time QA automation, and Dockerization practices.

In addition, Goteti pivoted the R&D organization from SOA to Microservices strategy powered by large scale continuous and distributed data processing pipelines (Kafka), NoSQL databases (MongoDB), ELK stack, etc. Venu was also an early adopter of Serverless Architecture, Camuda platform, Fargate service, Kubernetes container orchestration system, and API first development strategy. Furthermore, they secured tens of millions in co-innovation funding to innovate and deliver next generation platform. Lastly, they laid the foundation for AI and Machine Learning workflows with plug-play API Services (AWS Sagemaker, Kafka, S3 and BigDATA).

Some notable accomplishments during their time at Operative include envisioning and delivering a new automated ad trafficking product for new revenue streams and playing a pivotal role in transforming the company's technology landscape by adopting cutting-edge technologies/strategies such as MicroServices Architecture, Kafka, Serverless, and building Cloud native multi tenant SAAS solutions.

In their role as Senior Vice President of Research & Development, Goteti also managed product adoption and escalations with a focus on customer satisfaction and retention. Venu introduced SLA/OLA traceability process in IT operations to enable continuous execution and backlog management. Lastly, they evaluated “build vs. buy vs. partner” strategies for new product offerings and formulated and defined the company's cloud strategy.

Venu Goteti received a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University BDT College of Engineering.
