Praveen Pillai

Praveen Pillai has extensive work experience in the technology industry. Praveen is currently serving as the Vice President of Technology at RippleHire since May 2022. Before that, they worked at Majesco as the Director of Technical Architecture from July 2020 to April 2022, and as a Technical Architect from June 2015 to July 2020. At Majesco, they led a significant technology transformation project for their core insurance software development platform.

Prior to Majesco, Praveen worked at Mastek Ltd from March 2010 to May 2015, where they held the position of Technical Specialist. In this role, they were responsible for identifying technology stack and components, developing proof of concepts, designing system architecture and integration strategies, ensuring high-quality work, and assisting in project management. Praveen was recognized as a finalist at the 2014 TekTalk event and their open-source contribution was accepted by CollabNet.

Praveen's earlier experience includes working at Syntel as a Project Lead from July 2003 to March 2010. During their tenure, they were involved in designing and developing insurance domain-specific applications, while also managing teams and client interfaces. Praveen gained valuable client-site experience during this time.

Praveen Pillai completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Computer Science from VESIT, from 1999 to 2003. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications including Certified SAFe® 5 Agilist from Scaled Agile, Inc. in September 2020, IBM Certified Specialist DB2 UDB, INS21 - Property & Casualty Insurance from the American Institute for Chartered Property Casualty Underwriters (AICPCU), Insurance Institute Of America (IIA), Sun Certified Programmer for Java 2 Platform from Sun Microsystems, and Sun Certified Web Component Developer for the Java 2, Enterprise Edition, also from Sun Microsystems.
