Canh Tran has extensive experience in the business world. Canh began their career in 1993 as the Director of Technology Center for Retail Management at Kellogg School of Management. In 1995, they co-founded and served as Principal of Knowledge Management Ressources, a marketing analytics software providing POS-driven machine learning and AI-based market intelligence to consumer packaged goods companies. The company was acquired. In 2000, they became the CEO of Geochef.com. In 2009, they joined GradeBeam.com as a Board Member, a communications platform for the construction industry which was later acquired by Textura. In 2001, they became President of Pattern Recognition. Finally, in 2013, they co-founded and served as CEO of Rippleshot.

Canh Tran attended Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management from 1991 to 1993, earning an MBA in Marketing. Canh then attended the University of Maryland from 1984 to 1989, earning a B.S. in Finance. Canh also attended Ecole Francaise d' Athenes, though it is unclear if they earned any degree or certification there.
