Kate Ludewig

Kate Ludewig, Riptide Music Group’s Copyright Manager, is a licensing and copyright pro with over a decade of experience in the music industry and a passion for getting songwriters and artists paid. She grew up on a dairy farm in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota writing songs for her cats and dreaming of a future in the big city of Los Angeles. After graduating from Musicians Institute’s Music Business program in 2010, she spent the next eight years working at independent labels and publishers in the copyright and licensing departments. Following a brief stint doing music clearance for film and TV, Kate is overjoyed to be back in her happy place: supporting and championing independent musicians.
