Joy Duo has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Joy started their career as a Resident Advisor at the University of Michigan Housing from September 2011 to May 2013. Joy then worked as a Senior Functional Analyst at Isobar from September 2013 to January 2016. Following that, they joined Gorilla Group as a Business Solutions Analyst from March 2016 to May 2017. Joy then moved to Rise Interactive, where they held multiple positions including Lead Business Analyst from May 2017 to December 2017, Manager - Business Analysis & Quality Assurance from December 2017 to February 2020, Associate Director of Web Development from February 2020 to September 2020, and their current role as the Director of Customer Experience, starting in September 2020.

Joy Duo obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Psychology and Asian Studies from the University of Michigan. Prior to that, Joy attended Portage Central High School and obtained an International Baccalaureate Diploma. Joy also holds a certification in Regional Leadership Forum (RLF) from the Society for Information Management, obtained in 2018.
