Roberta Zwier has gained extensive experience in the environmental management field throughout their career. Roberta currently holds the position of Vice President of Environmental Management at Rise Light & Power since January 2022. Prior to this role, they served as a Member of the Board of Directors at the American Wind Wildlife Institute from January 2020 to January 2022.
From May 2016 to January 2022, Roberta worked at The Conservation Fund as the Director of Mitigation Solutions. In this role, they were responsible for developing and overseeing conservation-based mitigation solutions for impacts to listed species, historic resources, and state and federal lands. Additionally, they served as the Project Director for the Range-wide Indiana Bat In-Lieu Fee Program.
Before joining The Conservation Fund, Roberta worked at Williams from January 2008 to May 2016. During their time there, they held various positions, including Manager of Environmental Permits from January 2013 to May 2016, Staff Environmental Scientist from December 2011 to January 2013, and Senior Environmental Scientist from January 2008 to December 2011. In these roles, they served as an environmental project manager and oversaw large teams in the development of FERC Environmental Resource Reports. Roberta also handled compliance with the Endangered Species Act, National Historic Preservation Act, Clean Water Act, and state permit applications.
Prior to Williams, Roberta worked at AECOM as the Department Manager of Natural Resources in the Mid-Atlantic Region from January 2005 to January 2008. Notably, they managed a staff of 24 and was responsible for setting growth strategies, mentoring staff, preparing proposals, and managing projects.
Roberta's career began at ENSR Consulting & Engineering in November 1995, where they served as a Project Manager until December 2001. Their responsibilities included conducting wetland delineations, habitat assessments, and endangered species surveys. Roberta also worked as a Research Assistant at the Missouri Department of Conservation from August 1995 to November 1995, leading a team in a bobwhite quail population study.

Roberta Zwier has a Master of Science (M.S.) in Biology with a field of study in Wildlife Biology from California University of Pennsylvania, which they obtained from 2001 to 2003. Roberta also holds a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Environmental Biology from Millersville University of Pennsylvania, which they obtained from 1990 to 1994. Additionally, Roberta Zwier has a certification in Project Management Professional from the Project Management Institute, although the specific date of obtaining this certification is not provided.
