Lee Ann Patterson is an experienced education mentor and leader with a diverse background in various educational and economic organizations. Currently serving as an Education Mentor at SHE-CAN since June 2021 and as a member of the Leadership Council for Rise Up since July 2018, Lee Ann has also contributed as an Art Docent for Los Altos Art Docents since September 2015. Prior leadership roles include Vice President of the Davidson College Alumni Board and Chair/Vice Chairman of the Board for The Girls' Middle School. Lee Ann was instrumental as Board Chair for the Daraja Education Fund from September 2010 to December 2016, overseeing a boarding school for girls in Kenya. With a solid foundation in economics and international relations, Lee Ann co-founded the Cal/Med Consortium in 2005 and worked as an Analyst for the USDA Foreign Agriculture Service from 1987 to 1990. Lee Ann holds a Ph.D. in International Relations from the University of Pittsburgh, an MS in Agricultural Economics from Michigan State University, and a BA in Economics from Davidson College.
