Awa Ekekwe

Awa Ekekwe PHRi is an experienced professional currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at Rise, where responsibilities include overseeing company-wide operations and driving strategic execution following a promotion in August 2024. Previously, Awa was the People & Culture Lead at Risevest, focusing on the strategic evolution of the People function during a rapid growth phase, and achieved high customer satisfaction as the Customer Success Lead. Prior roles include Store Manager and Sales Representative at BrandCo Nigeria Limited and General Operations Manager at Challdy International Limited, as well as a Risk Advisor at Mansard Insurance Plc. Awa holds a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, earned in 2011.
