D. Lawal

D. Lawal has extensive experience in business development, strategy and planning, and corporate finance. From 2011 to 2013, they worked as a Corporate Finance Analyst at Vetiva Capital Management Limited, where they supported the execution of equity and debt capital raising transactions as well as structured/project finance transactions with a cumulative transaction size of over US$3bn. From 2013 to 2017, they worked at CardinalStone Partners as an Associate, Senior Equity Research Analyst, and Energy Analyst. In these roles, they were solely responsible for in-depth fundamental research and stock selection, developed ESG investment research products, and engineered fully integrated ESG and financial models. From 2017 to 2019, they worked at Axxela as a Business Development Lead, Strategy and Planning Lead, Strategy and Planning Officer, and Strategy and Planning Analyst. In these roles, they oversaw the creation and execution of the corporate strategy to meet the revenue target of US400mn by 2022, coordinated expansions into Ghana, Benin Republic, and Togo, and created a unified reporting dashboard (using Power BI) for EMT. Since 2019, they have been a Co-Founder at Rise Vest.

D. Lawal has a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, Nigeria, obtained between 2007 and 2011. In 2019, D. Lawal attended Cambridge Judge Business School and obtained a certificate in Strategic Management: Creating and Sustaining Competitive Advantage. In 2020, D. Lawal obtained an Advanced Product Management Certificate from Product Faculty. In 2021, D. Lawal attended Harvard Business School for Business Analytics. D. Lawal has also obtained certifications from Scrum.org, LinkedIn, and SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile.
