Gertrude Umeh

Gertrude Umeh has a diverse work experience across various industries. In 2012, they worked as an English Teacher at Queen Esther International Schools for a few months. In 2016, they joined Holy Child College Ikoyi as an English Teacher and also briefly worked as a Sales Representative at Hemingways safaris Africa. In 2017, Gertrude worked as a Personal Assistant at Thistle Praxis Consulting, a Social Media Manager at Read A Book Now and The Gift and Grace Stores, and a Class Directress at Discovery House Montessori. From 2017 to 2021, they held the role of Social Media Manager at The Gift and Grace Stores. In 2020, Gertrude worked as a Freelance Writer at JDI. Most recently, in 2021, they joined Rise as a Business Development Associate and later transitioned into a Sales Business Development role.

Gertrude Umeh completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English Language and Literature from Nnamdi Azikiwe University from 2011 to 2015. In 2018 to 2020, they attended Disch Montessori Training, where they obtained a Montessori Directress certification in Elementary Education and Teaching. In 2021, Gertrude enrolled in the Centre for Guided Montessori Studies and earned a Professional Development Certificate in Special Needs of Children, specializing in Special Education and Teaching. Gertrude also obtained a certification called the McKinsey Forward Program from McKinsey & Company in December 2022.
