Alex Berner

Alex Berner has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Starting in 2009, Alex worked as an intern at Magnum Photos. In 2012, Alex worked as a Bicycle Mechanic and Salesperson at Corner Cycle Cape Cod Inc. From 2014 to 2016, Alex worked as an Instructor at Kitesite.net.

Following this, from 2015 to 2016, Alex worked as a Designer & Marketing Associate at Fortified Bicycle, where they managed e-commerce projects, developed products, and created marketing campaigns.

From 2016 to 2019, Alex served as a Product Manager at WOO Sports, an action sports hardware startup. They managed the kiteboarding product and community, liaising between customers and developers and conducting troubleshooting and testing based on customer feedback.

From 2019 to present, Alex worked as a Product Manager at Kessel Run, leading balanced teams and using Lean methodologies and Extreme Programming to modernize the AOC weapons system. They worked on the development of an aerial refueling application and a target development application.

Most recently, Alex joined Rise8 in 2021 as a Product Manager.

Alex Berner pursued their education, earning a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History from Brown University, where they attended from 2012 to 2016. In 2016, they also attended the Copenhagen Institute of Interaction Design, but no degree or field of study information was provided. Prior to attending Brown, Alex studied European History at the Oxford Tutorial College from 2011 to 2012. Their pre-college education took place at Deerfield Academy from 2007 to 2011. In terms of additional certifications, Alex obtained the Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from the Scrum Alliance in December 2018.
