RISE
Corey L Posey is currently serving as the Senior Director of Programs & Curriculum at RISE. Prior to this role, Corey worked as the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Officer at the University of South Florida Sarasota-Manatee, Director of Student Life at Chesapeake College, and as a Community Partnership Manager at Ohio University. Corey holds a Ph.D. in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Ohio University, an MA in Higher Education & Student Affairs from The Ohio State University, a BASW in Social Work from Salisbury University, and a BS in Sociology from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.
RISE
RISE is a national nonprofit that educates and empowers the sports community to eliminate racial discrimination, champion social justice and improve race relations. Through partnerships and programs, we inspire leaders in sports to create positive change on matters of race and equality. RISE provides: Leadership programming for student-athletes, coaches and administrators at every level to equip them with the knowledge and skills to stand up against racism and advance the conversation around race relations. Opportunities for athletes to amplify their voice and make a difference as effective advocates to stand up against racism and promote social change. Events for fans in conjunction with college and pro sports games and public awareness campaigns encouraging the public to join with professional athletes and community leaders in taking a pledge to stand against racism.
