Oliver Carpenter has worked in the field of environmental risk analytics since 2017. In 2021, they began working as the Head of Environmental Risk Analytics at Risilience, where they lead the climate risk model development, quantifying physical and transition risks to businesses to provide strategic decision support. Prior to this, they were the Environmental Risk Research Lead at Cambridge Judge Business School from 2017-2021, where they led research on natural catastrophes and climate risk, and was a contributor to various research projects and industry engagements. In 2017, they were also a Research Assistant at the Cambridge Centre for Risk Studies, focusing on Project Pandora, which aimed to develop a risk analysis framework to understand and model impacts from various natural and man-made global catastrophes.
Oliver Carpenter attended Durham University from 2013 to 2017, where they obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Geography and a Master's Degree in Risk (Environmental Hazards).
