Jessica Melendez currently serves as the Director of Policy at TRUST SOUTH LA, where leadership was provided for a GOTV program that contacted over 3,800 voters. In addition, Jessica functions as a Project Coordinator with Community Health Councils, facilitating collaborations among 12 South LA organizations to address health disparities. Previous roles include Manager of Community Initiatives at Community Health Councils, Graduate Research Fellow at UCLA Luskin Institute on Inequality and Democracy, Community School Coordinator at Los Angeles Education Partnership, Policy Fellow at Justice Policy Network, Youth Organizer at Community Coalition, Advocacy and Campaigns Intern at National Council of La Raza, and Intern at La Raza Centro Legal. Jessica co-founded and served as President of MEChA de USF, advocating for Latin@/Chican@ issues. Educational credentials include a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from UCLA and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government from the University of San Francisco.
