Evelyn Gilliam

Director Of Professional Learning at RITENOUR SCHOOL DISTRICT

Evelyn Gilliam has a diverse work experience in the education sector. Evelyn started their career at Hilltop Academy as a teacher from 1995 to 1996. Evelyn then joined the Ladue School District, where they worked as a teacher from 1997 to 2013. During their time at Ladue, they also served as a Diversity Facilitator from 2009 to 2012 and as a Diversity Committee Co-Chair from 2007 to 2011. In 2013, Gilliam joined the Ritenour School District as an Instructional Facilitator until 2016, where they supported teachers with curriculum implementation and provided professional development. From 2016 to 2021, they worked as the Coordinator of Professional Learning at Ritenour School District. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Professional Learning and Coordinator of the Equity Leadership and Learning Team at Ritenour School District.

Evelyn Gilliam has a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Maryville University of Saint Louis, which they completed between 2009 and 2011. Prior to that, they obtained another Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Junior High/Intermediate/Middle School Education and Teaching from Webster University from 1995 to 1997. Evelyn began their educational journey by earning a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Southeast Missouri State University, graduating between 1991 and 1995.
