Ivo Zehnder

Ivo Zehnder has over 30 years of work experience in the energy and utilities industry. Ivo currently holds the position of Global Head of Business Segment Utilities at Rittmeyer Gruppe since 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President Sales & After Sales and a member of the Executive Board at Frey AG Stans from 2021 to 2023.

From 2014 to 2021, Zehnder worked at Landis+Gyr, where they held various roles, including Head of Bid Management and Solution Consultancy, Sr. Product Manager Load Management, and Director Product Marketing and Senior Product Manager. In these positions, they led international commercial and technical teams, ensured effective pre-sales and bid management, and launched a Distributed Energy Resource (DER) business unit.

Before their time at Landis+Gyr, Zehnder worked at Siemens from 2003 to 2008, serving as a Sector Operation Manager Total Building Solutions and an Account Manager for Building Automation Systems. Prior to that, they held roles at Rittmeyer AG as a Product Manager for Water and Energy Supplies and as a Project Engineer for Water and Energy Supplies.

Zehnder started their career as an Elektroniker Lehrling at Landis+Gyr in 1989. Throughout their career, they have gained extensive experience in sales, solution development, team management, and product management in the energy and utilities sector.

Ivo Zehnder's education history begins in 1993 when they enrolled at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts. Ivo pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree, specializing in Elektrotechnik, Eletronik und Kommunikationstechnik, and completed their studies in 1997.

After working in the industry for a few years, Ivo Zehnder decided to further their education. In 1999, they joined Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences Switzerland, where they pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Marketing/Marketing-Management, allgemein. Ivo successfully completed this program in 2001.

Most recently, in 2021, Ivo Zehnder enrolled at EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) for an Executive MBA program. Their field of study for this degree is Harnessing Innovation, and they are expected to complete the program in 2022.
