Steven Conlon

Steven Conlon, PhD, has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. From 2016 to present, they have served as the VP of Corporate Intelligence at Rivada Networks. In this role, they monitor vendor platforms, gathers threat intelligence from various sources, and produces reports for emerging markets. Steven also provides qualitative data and political analysis of markets and competitors.

From 2019 to 2021, Steven worked as the Global Security Threat Intelligence Manager at PINKERTON | Comprehensive Risk Management. Steven coordinated threat monitoring and risk intelligence for a major technology manufacturing client and led standardization of global security protocols.

Before that, Steven was an Associate Lecturer at Dublin City University from 2013 to 2015, where they taught in the School of Communications. In 2008, they worked as a Project Manager at Tusla - Child and Family Agency.

Steven Conlon PhD has an extensive education history. Steven first attended Dublin City University from 2008 to 2011, where they obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Studies. Steven then pursued higher education at the same university, earning their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in History, Politics, and Social Movement Theory from 2011 to 2016.

In 2020, Steven Conlon enrolled in the University College Cork and completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Military Strategic Studies. During the same year, they also attended Ulster University for a short period and obtained a Certificate of Higher Education (CertHe) in Open Source Intelligence (OSINT).

Aside from their formal degrees, Steven Conlon has acquired several certifications to enhance their knowledge and expertise. In January 2020, they became an ASIS Member through ASIS International. In November 2017, they obtained the PRINCE2® Foundation certification from AXELOS Global Best Practice. Additionally, in 2020, they earned certifications in various fields, including Specialisation Certificates in Homeland Security and Cybersecurity from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, BSAFE from UNDSS, Cyber Diplomacy from the United Nations Office for Disarmament Affairs, and International Security Management from Erasmus University Rotterdam. Prior to these certifications, in October 2018, Steven Conlon became an RPM Instructor through Les Mills UK (LMUK).
