Nathan Sauder

Nathan Sauder is a Senior Mechanical Engineer at RIVANNA, where responsibilities include managing an engineering lab and serving as the lead mechanical designer for a 3D ultrasound probe on a significant BARDA contract. Previously, as a Mechanical Design Engineer at Microaire Surgical Instruments, Nathan Sauder primarily focused on medical device design and implemented process improvements through "lessons learned" reviews. Early in Nathan Sauder's career, a role as a Research Assistant at the University of Florida resulted in enhanced treatment protocols for post-stroke rehabilitation. Nathan Sauder holds a PhD, Master’s degree, and Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, all from the University of Florida.
