Robert Rickel

Robert Rickel is an experienced professional in biomedical engineering with a strong background in production management and research. Currently serving as Production Manager at RIVANNA since July 2019, Robert oversees daily operations across multiple production lines and has contributed to training new hires. Previous roles include Production Engineer and R&D Engineer at RIVANNA, where Robert developed and refined the Accuro 2.0 ultrasound probe. Prior to RIVANNA, Robert was a Graduate Student at the University of Virginia, developing a Micro Coulter Particle Counter, and a Histotripsy Lab Researcher at the University of Michigan, focusing on ultrasound therapy mechanisms. Additional experience includes serving as Chief Strategist at Association Dues Assurance Corporation and managing operations for the University of Michigan baseball program. Robert holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Virginia and degrees from the University of Michigan in Biotechnology and Biomedical Engineering.
