Akshay Chopra

Akshay Chopra is a seasoned portfolio manager with extensive experience in investment management. Currently serving as a Portfolio Manager at River Capital since January 2023, Akshay focuses on long-term investment strategies and managing high conviction portfolios. Prior to this role, Akshay worked as a Portfolio Manager/Analyst at Karara Capital from February 2009 to September 2022, where responsibilities included active management of client portfolios and conducting in-depth fundamental analysis. Previous roles also include Equity Analyst at Bell Asset Management and Investment Consultant at Intech Investment Consultants, where Akshay was responsible for managing major clients and asset allocation strategies. Akshay began the professional journey as an Analyst at BNY Mellon. Akshay holds a Post Graduate degree in Applied Finance from the University of Melbourne and a Bachelor of Business in Banking & Finance from Monash University.
