Laura Christiansen

Laura Christiansen is the Director of Accounting at River Financial. Laura has over 9 years of experience in auditing and assurance, including roles at CIBC and PwC. Laura has a proven track record in leading and executing quality audits and other assurance deliverables for clients in Financial Services and FinTech. Laura is responsible for managing the end-to-end audit process, including overseeing engagement economics, optimizing project plan efficiencies, and managing teams of auditors. Laura has also been recognized for their leadership in establishing internal health and wellness programs, fostering a culture of ‘Be Well, Work Well’ methodologies, and enhancing team morale and productivity.

Laura Christiansen has a Bachelor of Commerce from Queen's University in Accounting and Business/Management, and a Bachelor of Commerce from SDA Bocconi in Business. Laura also has a certification from Transport Canada in Private Pilot License.

They are on a team with Ellen Weaver - Director, People, Bill Mongan - General Counsel, and Andrew Benson - Co-Founder. Laura Christiansen reports to Alex Leishman, Co-Founder, CEO, & CTO.
